“We keep inviting girls into climate conversations but rarely into decision-making. That has to change.”
That was the message when SWEDIWorld’s founder spoke at the Federal Ministry of Power. SWEDIWorld girls did not simply show up: they stepped into leadership and owned the moment.

The experience reminded the organisation that young people, especially women and girls, must move from being present in rooms to actively shaping the conversations within them. That perspective continues to guide SWEDIWorld’s work: youth voices, especially those of girls, belong in decision-making spaces not only as observers but as contributors.
The same week, SWEDIWorld’s Ambassador followed up with adolescent girls at JSS Legislative Quarters, Apo, on the effects of climate change on their daily lives and how they are already mitigating them. See also Young Climate Ambassadors.
